DIY MUSIC INDUSTRY CONFERENCE AIMED AT EMPOWERING INDEPENDENT ARTISTS SLATED FOR APRIL 9-11 AT THE REGENT THEATER IN LOS ANGELES

FOUR RECORD LABEL LIVE SHOWCASES CONFIRMED

February 23, 2024—Passes are on sale now for the first-ever Scenario 2024, a music conference for DIY independent artists, slated for April 9-11 at The Regent Theater in Los Angeles, presented by the Regent and Alpha Pup—get them here. Additionally, Leaving Records, Juke Bounce Werk, Ruby Yacht and Alpha Pup record labels confirm live showcases for the first two evenings of the conference, with more to be announced—see the full schedule below. Workshop partners include Apple Music, Bandcamp, Beatport, Pioneer DJ and Ableton.

Aimed at empowering independent artists in today’s music industry landscape, Scenario 2024 will span more than 20 workshops with panelists including industry experts from Beggars Group, Stones Throw, Kobalt, KCRW, Live Nation, Virgin Music Group and more as well as members of teams for acclaimed artists like Kamasi Washington, Karen O and Tenacious D; for more info, visit scenario2024.com.

Expert-led workshops will cover a wide range of topics including marketing strategies, publicity, A&R, building a fanbase, navigating distribution platforms, maximizing revenue streams and tutorials on various budgeting and project management tools. Attendees will hear firsthand accounts from successful independent artists who have built careers on their own terms while networking with fellow artists and industry contacts. Event organizers include Mitchell Frank (founder of Echo, Echoplex and Regent) and Grammy-winning engineer Daddy Kev (founder of Alpha Pup Records and Low End Theory), both available for interviews.
