BRIAN ENO REWORKS PREVIOUSLY RELEASED SONGS ON FOREVER VOICELESS DUE APRIL 22

FOREVERANDEVERNOMORE OUT NOW TO
CRITICAL PRAISE

Today, Brian Eno confirms his new album FOREVER VOICELESS—an instrumental rendition of his acclaimed 2022 record FOREVERANDEVERNOMORE—is set for release April 22 on UMC/Verve. The new LP will be available on crystal clear vinyl exclusively for Record Store Day, as well as on selected digital platforms—pre-save/pre-order here.

Brian Eno’s first studio album in six years, FOREVERANDEVERNOMORE, debuted last year to critical acclaim—listen/share here. It was Eno’s first record to feature his vocals on the majority of the 10 tracks, a first since 2005’s Another Day On Earth. With FOREVER VOICELESS Eno removes his voice completely, moving the focus back to the music.

Eno is a pioneer of spatial audio, with experiments and audio installations stretching back over the past forty years. The forthcoming album’s theme, a reaction to the ongoing climate emergency, is laid out sonically with delicate and dramatic instrumentals.

“I’ve been doing what you might call landscape music for quite a few years, making atmospheres and moods and places rather than narratives,” says Eno.

Praise for FOREVERANDEVERNOMORE

“Brian Eno has been involved in so many varied and significant musical adventures that to call him a Zelig-like figure — which is often done — is to risk understating his reach and importance. The English musician and ideas man helped birth glam and art rock as a member of Roxy Music. He had a strong hand in iconic works by David Bowie, Talking Heads, U2 and Coldplay. Across a series of his own influential albums he pretty much invented ambient music. Eno’s clutch of nonambient solo albums are by turns nervy, catchy, enigmatic and moving. And so he has gone, fruitfully hither and yon, up to his latest, this fall’s FOREVERANDEVERNOMORE.”—The New York Times

“Blending ambient music and operatic pop for his first vocals-driven solo album in 17 years, he croons about ominous visions in a tone that’s notably lower than he sounded in his early days as a rock-and-roll front man.”—The Atlantic

“Confronting the climate crisis and the prospect of humankind’s demise, the veteran experimental musician takes an unconventional approach: He gets in touch with his feelings.”—Pitchfork

“...veteran artist and production mastermind Brian Eno is on track for a career solo high with his 22nd studio album FOREVERANDEVERNOMORE...”—Billboard

“[Of ‘We Let It In’] The over three minute ambient track is like a soothing meditation, with Eno’s deep croon over Darla’s spoken-word vocals.”—SPIN
