EMERGING COUNTRY DUO THE BAND LOULA SHARES POWERFUL NEW MUSIC VIDEO FOR “RUNNING OFF THE ANGELS

WILL MAKE THEIR GRAND OLE OPRY DEBUT TOMORROW

EXTENSIVE SUMMER TOUR WITH DIERKS BENTLEY AND ZACH TOP KICKS OFF NEXT WEEK

May 22, 2025—Emerging country duo The Band Loula release a powerful new music video for their captivating song, “Running Off The Angels,” today. Directed by band member Logan Simmons, Ben Humphrey and Corey Bost, the striking video features special appearances from Ashley McBryde and fellow Georgian and co-writer Peytan Porter. Watch/share HERE.

Written by the duo—Simmons and Malachi Mills—with Porter, “Running Off The Angels” continues to receive critical attention following its debut last month. Billboard praises the song, calling it “An immensely promising release from this duo,” while All Country News declares, “a haunting, culturally charged ballad that cements their place as one of the genre’s most compelling new acts” and Music Row proclaims, “Bluesy, swampy and cool, this conjures a spell with its mysterious, haunting, Biblical images of damnation and redemption…Highly engaging.”

Further establishing the pair as a group to watch, the song also received an overwhelming response from fans after the band first posted it on social media last year, leading many to share their own personal experiences from growing up in the Bible Belt.

Reflecting on track, The Band Loula shares, “We wrote this song with love in our hearts and fire in our bones. ‘Running Off The Angels’ is a lament born from our roots in the Bible Belt, a story of struggle, judgment and redemption. It’s for those who’ve been cast aside and misunderstood — and a reminder that love, even in its darkest form, can still light the way.”

North Georgia natives and longtime friends, The Band Loula is poised for a big breakout this year and has already garnered widespread attention across the industry with their undeniable chemistry and near-blood harmonies. Last year, the band began a landmark partnership with Warner Music Nashville and is currently in the studio working on their debut project with John Osborne (Brothers Osborne). The new music follows previously released singles such as “Marshall County Man,” “Don’t Call Me” and “A Little At A Time,” all of which showcase the duo’s powerful storytelling and unique swampgrass sound.

Engaging live performers, Mills and Simmons will make their Grand Ole Opry debut tomorrow, May 23 before joining Dierks Bentley and Zach Top on Bentley’s extensive tour this summer. The band has spent much of the past few years on the road including dates with Brothers Osborne, Ashley McBryde, Paul Cauthen, Elle King and Brent Cobb. See below for current tour itinerary.
